Your wallet and WOTC's hands are 2-3 degrees of separation from one another. Sometimes stores buy directly from WOTC for WON stuff like prizes, etc., but that's basically the end of it. No, WOTC sells to wholesalers/distributors, who then sell to stores, who then sell to you. It doesn't matter if packs don't move for shit on store shelves - just look at the mountains of AFR sitting around. The first Double Masters is when we players should have spoken up with our wallets and said we’re not going to keep buying packs if they’re going to raise the price points to absolutely absurd levels. Just draft, collector, and Ultra-Pro accessories. No set boosters, prerelease, bundles, etc.But this could easily be wrong and is a guess from looking at a product code. Collector booster box contains 4 packs with 15 cards each.Collector booster box: Around $270, with an expectation of being $30-$50 cheaper than a draft booster box from the same store.Draft booster box contains 24 packs with 16 cards each.I could easily see the price point being $20-30 higher than Double Masters was on release. It's difficult to compare without an MSRP. Draft booster box: About $300, with an expectation of being close but maybe more expensive than Double Masters.I would not expect more information until the prebeat video, likely in a week or two on Weekly MTG. Multiple stores have started posting their distributor information on Double Masters 2022, which is mostly pricing and maybe the release date and not much else. r/magicTCG is not produced, endorsed, supported by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.
